- B.A. Religious Studies from Grinnell College, 2004
In 2005, I was finishing up a year of teaching math at a bilingual school in Juticalpa, Honduras. I decided that life in Central America was a bit erratic, so I decided to come to a more predictable place. Unfortunately for the completion of that goal, I chose Scattergood. I've done a number of different things over the last 4 years here. I’ve taught Math, Chemistry, U.S. Government, and a variety of Humanities classes. I’ve also coached soccer and taught a P.E. class in which we fought with snowballs, sledded (semi-successfully) and played broom ball on the pond. Outside of class, I might be found playing soccer, singing, reading Calvin & Hobbes, or out of money in some town whose name I can’t pronounce (hopefully that one’s during summer vacation). I love the creativity and openness of students here at Scattergood, and the freedom I am given to share my life and passions with them.
