Biography:
Hans is a hard character to describe – at least he has a hard time describing himself. He has a reputation here at Scattergood for being slightly mysterious, and you can usually find him in the woodworking studio. Although you wouldn't know it from the bio below, Hans has many notable talents including the ability to fashion a dulcimer out of a discarded door or a house out of cattails. After months of cajoling, pleading and threatening, we were able to pull only this much out of him...
Hans came to Scattergood in '86 after graduating from Grinnell College with a degree in studio art. He teaches academics, projects and P.E. He also leads students on world-famous week and month-long wilderness trips.
