Christine Ashley, Scattergood's next Head of School
Debbie Galusha, Clerk of Scattergood Friends School Committee, has announced that a new Head of School has been hired. Christine Ashley, who currently teaches at Oneness Family International School in the Washington D.C. area, will begin her tenure on July 1, 2010. A graduate of Vassar with a B.A. in religion, Christine taught ESL and worked for various aid organizations in Indonesia and Singapore. Upon return to the States, she worked several years at Thornton Friends School where she held teaching and administrative positions.
Scattergood welcomes Christine, her husband Mark Shanahan, and their three sons.
