Welcome to Scattergood Friends School

Scattergood has provided students from around the world a college preparatory education since 1890. Unique in our approach, we emphasize living in community and are devoted to fostering the growth of the whole person. Rooted in Quakerism, the core values of simplicity, harmony, integrity, responsibility, and equality play out in everyday life. Students and staff alike endeavor daily to apply and integrate these Quaker values into the various school activities that occupy us from dawn to dusk. We hope that students come away with a deeper love of knowledge and a better understanding of themselves.

Fall Soccer Team

The members of our team hail from many parts of the world. There are students from Uganda, Korea, Ethiopia, and all over the US!

While we are a solid team, we stress inclusivity and teamwork. For a school  our size ( 52 students and 25 staff) where 30% of the school plays in the soccer team, we think we have a pretty good team!

Spring Trips Week
