Joey Giffen-Hunter
Education: B.F.A. in Glass Blowing, Ohio State University 1999
Being born into the Quaker faith and having attended a Quaker boarding school himself, Scattergood was a natural fit for Joey. Joey came to Scattergood in 1999 with wife Sarah and son, Lake. Through his 12 years at Scattergood, Joey has taught numerous fine art classes, including Ceramics, Stained Glass and Glass Blowing as well as digital art courses like Photoshop and Digital Photography. In 2003, he transferred his creative energy to Scattergood's buildings and grounds taking on the role of Facilities Director. Joey took on another role in 2008 as the Advancement Assistant where he split his efforts between Scattergood's Development and Admissions departments. In 2009, Joey took on his current role of Health Coordinator, while still taking time out to share his passion and creativity with students through teaching. Joey’s wife Sarah is the Registrar and son Lake is a Senior.
