Mark Shanahan

Mark comes to Scattergood Friends School with a broad range of experience in the construction industry, specializing in stone masonry and historic preservation. Before moving to the US, Mark operated his own construction business in England. He spent 7 years based in Germany, and worked on various historical renovations in France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Holland and the Czech Republic.   Most recently, Mark lived in the Washington DC area with his family, wife Christine Ashley and children, where he ran "Mark's Masonry." He enjoys martial arts (aikido) and hiking. He is currently certified as a Wilderness First Responder, and looks forward to participating in Scattergood's spring trips for his second year.
