Friends and Alumni

Dear Friends,

For many years whenever a new Scattergood News would arrive in my mailbox, the first thing I would look for would be the alumni news. Would there be any updates from any of my classmates or anyone I knew? This for me, I have to admit, was (and in many ways still is) the highlight of my Scattergood connection. While the buildings and campus hold a certain amount of nostalgia, the real connection is with the people. And for all that I've seen at the reunions I've attended, I am not the only one who feels this way.

A few years back I saw a group of former Scattergoodians together, many of whom had not seen each other for 50 years. The energy was high, voices elevated, and the laughter came easy. Some of the comments I overheard had me chuckling as people found their friends and tried to reconcile the image in front of them with the mental image from half a century ago. A weekend was not nearly enough time to catch up on all that had transpired in everyone's life, but it was a start. former school signformer school sign
This section of the Scattergood web site is a realization of one of my goals and dreams. It is my hope that these pages will help other Scattergoodians stay in touch and connected with each other. Keep an eye out for future updates and upcoming advanced features! Enjoy!
