Farm to Table
- The majority of food served in Scattergood kitchen comes from our farm.
The majority of food served for meals comes directly from The Farm in the form of organic fruits and vegetables, pastured pork, chicken and eggs and grass-fed beef and lamb. In an average year, The Farm provides Scattergood Kitchen with more than:
1000 dozen eggs,
5000 pounds of vegetables,
99% of all meat served, and
Several tons of fruit
The cooks at Scattergood work very hard to plan meals based on the abundance at the farm. At the close of each meal, the cook announces which items in the meal came “From The Farm.”
