Shelley comes to Scattergood from upstate New York. She has worked for the past ten years as a pastoral counselor/chaplain in a hospital setting, as a school counselor and child/adolescent therapist in varied residential and college preparatory settings. Shelley loves working in a Quaker setting where values of hands-on experience, reflection, and consensus decision making are honored.
She is the mother of two grown children, Gregory and Noelle. Gregory was the artist-in-residence at Scattergood last year and is a screenwriter and Director of Marketing at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA. Daughter Noelle lives in Baltimore, MD, where she is the manager of group sales for the Kimpton Group.
