Biography:
A native of Bangor, Maine, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Maine. While a student at UMaine, she completed a 3-month service learning project in Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras. She returns biyearly to Honduras to volunteer and visit friends.
After earning her degree at UMaine, she studied Spanish Literature at the University of Connecticut, where she taught introductory Spanish to undergraduates. She has also taught high school Spanish at Frederica Academy in St. Simons Island, Georgia, and holds certification credentials to teach public school in the state of Florida.
