Carrie Ann Bowen
B.A. – History- Brevard College -2010
Carrie Ann hails from Woodstown, New Jersey. Her area of study in university was South Eastern Native Americans, which she choose as a focus to expand due to her long-time interest in human rights struggles. Carrie Ann has worked to spread awareness about the genocide in Darfur, and closely with the genocide-intervention network to help spread awareness and end suffering in other conflicts.
While at Brevard, Carrie Ann pursued her passion for non-profit work and civic education with the organization, Presidential Classroom, where she wrote and executed simulation curriculum for high school students. Carrie Ann has also traveled to Cambodia to teach and work with the young adults of Southeast Asia. After graduating in December she worked as a Case Manager for a homeless shelter in her local community.
Carrie Ann is also a Ropes Course enthusiast and lover of the outdoors. When she's not inspiring and motivating young adults, Carrie Ann can be found curled up with a good book.
