After reading "Goodbye Mr. Chips" Cass knew that he would someday be part of a boarding school environment. Thirty plus years later he finally made it, joining the Scattergood faculty as our Business Manager. Cass earned his B.S. in Business from the University of Hartford, then his PhD. in Risk Management and Insurance from Florida State University. After graduate school he spent 20 years teaching business at universities in Washington, DC and Chicago. Through a long series of events Scattergood showed up on his family's radar. His son was interested in fencing and he and his wife, Prudence, all wanted to be involved in the Scattergood community. When Cass is not working you might find him running, riding bike, reading, or learning to play the guitar.
