Dave Reeve

This is Dave's first opportunity to work in a boarding school environment which gives him a chance to blend his extensive summer camp experience with almost 30 years of independent school teaching. Dave moved to Iowa City a year ago with his wife who attends the Writer's Workshop at the University of Iowa. Prior to this, Dave spent two years teaching 8th graders math and science in Santa Monica, CA. As Chemistry & Math Teacher and Facilities Assistant, Dave feels he has found what seems to be the perfect fit. He served as a camp counselor and director in Pennsylvania from 1972 to 2004, and enjoyed coaching and officiating various sports, taking canoe trips and overnights into the wilds and enjoying life spent mostly outdoors. His part-time position at Scattergood allows him to continue to explore many of the pursuits that have always fascinated him.
