Town Trip

Every Saturday students have the opportunity to take the Town Trip into Iowa City. Town Trip leaves after brunch at 12:30pm. Students are dropped off in Iowa City where they can see a movie, visit a coffee shop, go to the public library, shop, or eat at any of the numerous restaurants downtown. Students return to campus at 4:30pm after their day out.

Community Activity

Community Activity on Saturday evenings allows the community members to enjoy time together in a playful, collaborative manner. Activities range from guest speakers, concerts to game night. Sometimes the activities focus around an upcoming holiday like making valentines for Valentine's Day or painting ornaments for Christmas. Other times the community engages in a strategy game like Human Stratego or Capture the Flag. Whatever the focus of the evening, these activities allow staff and students the opportunity to connect with one another in an informal setting.
