The students at Scattergood are, in a word, diverse.

They come from many states and foreign countries, and from a wide variety of socio-economic backgrounds. The academic strengths of the students also vary.

Many faiths are represented at Scattergood, with about a fourth coming from Quaker families. Some of the students are from rural backgrounds, others from large cities.

In spite of their differences, Scattergood students have in common the desire for a quality high school education in a good community. In recent years we have had students from Iowa, Wisconsin, Oregon, South Dakota, South Carolina, Illinois, Colorado and Nebraska as well as students from the countries of China, Ethiopia, Korea, Mexico, Rwanda and Turkey.
