Scattergood Friends School is a co-ed, Quaker boarding school for grades 9-12 in West Branch, Iowa. We are a college-preparatory school based on the Quaker values of equality, integrity, simplicity and nonviolence. Scattergood values the acquisition of knowledge both in the classroom and through work, service, and living in community. The school is dedicated to the growth of the whole person within both a community and global context.

~ Each staff member participates in the nurturing of our students in their education and personal growth.

~ A full-time position may consist of teaching or administrative duties and other school responsibilities necessary in a boarding school environment.

~ All staff are also expected to:
Attend Collection and Meeting for Worship
Attend weekly meetings and other school functions
Serve as an Advisor to several students
Supervise a daily work crew
Assist in on-campus coverage for weekends and break

~ On-campus housing, meals, and health insurance are provided.

~ Teaching and administrative positions require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
