A Day In The Life

Scattergood students have a very packed schedudule.  Here's an example of a typical day in the life of a student at Scattergood:

7:30 - Breakfast

8:10 – 8:25 - Collection:  A 15 minute period of silence in the Meeting House

8:35 – 12:15 - Math/Science/History/Language Classes

12:20 – 12:45 - Lunch and Announcements
Lunch is our main meal of the day.  Staff and students share a family-style meal at assigned tables.  Table assignments change every two weeks allowing everyone a chance to get to know each other.  Announcements follow including mention of which parts of the meal came from Scattergood Farm.

12:45 – 1:35 - Crew

1:45 – 2:35 - Humanities Classes

2:40 – 4:20 – Projects or Seminar Classes

4:30 – 6:05 - P.E.

6:15 – Dinner

6:40 -7:30 - Free-time

7:30 – 9:00 – Study Hall /Quiet Study Time

9:00 – 10:00 – Student meetings or Free Time

10:00 - Dorm Time

11:00 – 11:20 Lights Out – Dorm Times are staggered depending upon one's grade level and status based on the degree of demonstrated accountability.
