Independent Study
The purpose of independent study is to give students the opportunity to explore legitimate areas of academic interest which are not normally accessible. Independent study is available in all areas of the curriculum except in subjects which are regularly offered as a class. Students wishing to do an independent must submit a proposal detailing goals and assessments to the Instruction Committee for approval.
Examples of some independent studies that have been pursued in recent years are: Japanese Language, Music Composition, Fiber Arts and Needlework, Piano, Creative Writing, Skateboarding and Dance.
